Anime Five Cities

First Time Attendees

1. Do I have to dress up in cosplay to come to Anime Five Cities?

   A: No, you don't have to. You can dress in any way you want to.

2. This is my first convention. What do I need to do to get into Anime Five Cities?

   A: You need to pre-register if you haven't done so. The pre-registration price is $11 per person until June 4. Pre-registering is easier because you don't have to create your own badge. Your badge will be ready for you at Registration. If you haven't pre-registered, you can still go and register at-con but it would be $14 and it might be sold out. So your best bet is to just pre-register online.

    

    

   
   

Registration

1. Do you mail badges out or do we pick them up at-con?

   A: We don't do badge mail-outs. If you are pre-registered, please bring a printout of your Paypal receipt and line up in the Pre-Registered line.

   The Registration table is located at the entrance of the community center. The front is facing the Santa Rosa Street, not the parking lot. You can start picking up your badges at 9:30 AM on June 18. We highly recommend that you come early to pick up your badge. You don't want to get stuck in line when the con is starting! Note that the con doesn't open until 11 am.

   At-the-door registration begins at 10:00 AM or until we've helped our pre-reg guests first.
   

2. I heard I can pick up my badge the night before AFC. How do I do that?

   We call this Night 0 and it's a way to make sure you don't have to stand in line at 10:00 am during the con. This service is only open for pre-registered attendees and you need to bring your Paypal receipt as your proof of pre-registration status.

   We will announce the location for our Night 0 pick up on June 4, 2011.

Cosplay Contest

1. How do I join the Cosplay Contest?

   A: You can join the Cosplay Contest by filling up the form located on our Cosplay Contest page. Please read the rules and guidelines so everyone can have a chance to enjoy the convention.
   

2. I need to change into my costume. Can you keep my costume for me until I do that?

   A: Unfortunately, AFC does not have a coat-check service for costumes. You will have to keep your costume in your vehicle until you need to change. Alternatively, you can always be in costume throughout the convention. If you do that, be ready to get your picture taken all the time! (Which is fun!)
   

3. Where are the changing rooms?

   A: Unfortunately, we do not have dedicated changing rooms at AFC but we do have bathrooms in the center that you can use. Note, it might be crowded though so please be patient!
   

Exhibit Hall

1. Can I use my credit card with the vendors at AFC?

   A: Unfortunately, no. The vendors at AFC take CASH ONLY unless vendors specify that they can take credit cards.

1. Do I have to be in lolita the whole time to be eligible?

   We are currently revamping this section of our programming. Please visit us again shortly.
